All Raleigh Riders trips are 100% free! For safety and accountability, we always have two bikes along on our Raleigh Riders trip. If you have a friend or family member that would like to join us, that would be fun! If not, we can provide two volunteers – one to pilot the tandem and one to ride along with us. All volunteers have completed a background check with Raleigh’s Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources department.

What times and days work best for you? We ride during the operating hours of the Buffaloe Road Aquatic center. On Sundays, the Aquatic Center is open from 1-5pm. The rest of the week, it’s open 10am-7pm. A typical ride takes about an hour.

Please note that due to the safety guidelines of the wheelchair tandem that the heaviest passenger we can carry is 250lbs.

We will contact you via this number if there is a need to reschedule a ride for any reason.

Anything else we should know to make sure you have a good ride?

Raleigh Riders will provide a helmet if you do not have one.

Rides are subject to weather. We’ll use the cell phone number you provide to contact you should your ride need to be rescheduled. Please note that participants will need to complete a Raleigh Parks Program Registration the first time they ride with us. Download the form here, complete it, and email it to Raleigh Parks SRIS (Specialized Recreation and Inclusion Services) before our ride.
