Notes for the week of 6/27
There are evening ride time slots on Tuesday and Thursday (6pm) as well as some morning rides. If you’re looking for a specific time slot, let us know what works for your schedule. The Tuesday Morning and Thursday Evening rides don’t require you to bring a companion if you don’t have anyone that can ride along. We’ll provide two volunteers.
Option One: Bring a Companion
If you have a family member that can ride along with us, choose this option. All rides take place on the Neuse River Greenway, leaving from the Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center at 5908 Buffaloe Rd. There’s a bit of a hill when returning to the Aquatic Center from the greenway, so all companions should be capable of pedaling themselves up a moderate hill.
Check the schedule for bring-a-companion rides
Option Two: Let’s Ride!
If you don’t have access to a bike or have a companion that can ride along with us, choose this option. We’ll provide two volunteers – one to pilot the tandem and one to join us on their own bike. All rides take place on the Neuse River Greenway, leaving from the Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center at 5908 Buffaloe Rd.

We typically update the calendar for the week on Sunday or Monday based on weather and pilot availability.
Safety
For safety, in addition to you, our passenger, there will always be two adults along for your ride. Raleigh Rider bikes may only be piloted by someone that’s completed a background check with Raleigh’s Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources department, but your family members are encouraged to join in the fun on their own bikes. A helmet must be worn by passengers during the ride.
Rides will begin and end at the Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center at 5908 Buffaloe Rd.
